On February 23, 2026, the Klangkollektiv Wien returns to its birthplace for a prestigious debut at the legendary Golden Hall of the Musikverein. Under the baton of acclaimed conductor Rémy Ballot, the ensemble, co-founded by former Vienna Philharmonic clarinettist Norbert Täubl, celebrates the titans of “Wiener Klassik”: Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven.
The evening opens with the playful lightness of Mozart’s Overture to Le nozze di Figaro, followed by the elegance and clarity of Haydn’s Oxford Symphony in G major. The concert culminates in Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 3, the Eroica, where the ensemble demonstrates its core philosophy: the structural clarity and emotional depth that define the Klangkollektiv’s artistic identity, while breathing new, authentic life into the Viennese tradition.
After acclaimed guest appearances at Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie and Munich’s Prinzregententheater, this “homecoming” marks a significant milestone for the Klangkollektiv Wien. By bringing together experienced members of top Austrian orchestras with a new generation of international talent, the ensemble moves away from routine, standard interpretations to rediscover the deep, living spirit of these classical works.
