Finland gets a new festival: from June 25–28, 2025, the newly founded Wieniä! Festival in Mikkeli transforms the stunning lake district of South Savo into a stage for world-class music and cultural exchange. Here, the refined elegance of Viennese high culture meets the natural beauty of Finland – creating an emotional space for artists and audiences to connect.

Festival kicks off with the opening performance Vienna Calling! by Plattform K+K Vienna, featuring members of the Vienna Philharmonic. Their repertoire ranges from Viennese classics to tango, jazz and groove, promising a captivating journey that will set the tone for the days to come. Another performance comes from the internationally acclaimed Janoska Ensemble, who return to Mikkeli for two concerts after their triumphant Finnish debut in 2023. With their distinctive Janoska style and electrifying improvisations, the ensemble redefines modern interpretations of classical works.

A unique experience awaits visitors at the Midnight Rave, where Kirill Kobantschenko, violinist and DJ with the Vienna Philharmonic, blends classical melodies with soul, funk and house under the magic glow of the nordic midnight sun.
