The chamber orchestra Klangkollektiv Wien has Viennese classical music in its DNA. By highlighting the rich treasure of works from the Viennese Classical era, the ensemble offers a fresh perspective on both well-known and lesser-known pieces from this period. Founded in 2018 on the initiative of Vienna Philharmonic clarinetist Norbert Täubl and Vienna-based French violinist and conductor Rémy Ballot, the orchestra brings together young, independent musicians with experienced members, including renowned instrumentalists from leading Viennese orchestras.
Romanian-born pianist Maria Radutu embodies the diversity of the 20th century. Together with Rémy Ballot, she explores the audacity of both worlds as part of the Keys to Heaven festival at the Esterházy Baroque Palace in Eisenstadt. The program includes Beethoven’s String Quartet in F major and the powerful piano concertos by Russian composer Galina Ustvolskaya and Polish composer Henryk Górecki.
